Benton, Dallas & Hickory County - Those interested in the U.S. Route 65 Corridor Upgrades in Multiple Counties Project Between Buffalo and Warsaw are invited to a public meeting to discuss proposed improvements and project information on Tuesday, October 21, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The come-and-go style meeting will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, at the Buffalo High School Cafeteria, 500 W. Main St., Buffalo. No formal presentation is planned. Those who attend may come at any time between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about the project and ask questions.
This same meeting will be held again on Tuesday, October 28, at the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center, 29027 Visitor Center Rd, Warsaw. A separate news release will be sent out for this public meeting.
Those unable to attend the in-person hearing can view exhibits and get project information by visiting www.modot.org/southwest. Comments on this project can be mailed in, emailed, or submitted online through the project website until Tuesday, November 11. For those unable to access the online meeting, contact MoDOT's Southwest District Office, and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.
This informational meeting marks the second in a series of public meetings held to engage the community on this project. Previous opportunities for public input were offered in Buffalo and Warsaw in June 2025.

Traffic Impacts
Construction for the Route 65 passing lanes and the one roundabout south of Warsaw is scheduled to begin in Winter 2026.
Construction for the two roundabouts in Buffalo is scheduled to begin in Winter 2027.
