Sönke Jordt has added a new Grove GMK4080L all-terrain crane to its fleet, enhancing the German rental company's strong offering to customers. The delivery will work alongside 13 other mobile cranes with capacities from 30 t - 300 t, plus three large knuckle-boom cranes. It was delivered directly to the Sönke Jordt HQ in Ratekau, Schleswig-Holstein from Manitowoc's mobile crane factory in Wilhelmshaven.
With the new GMK4080L, Sönke Jordt is investing in the quality, flexibility, and efficiency that a taxi crane can bring. It features a 60 m main boom - the longest in its class - and offers high load capacities, even with an efficient counterweight package for taxi operations. For additional reach, Sönke Jordt's new 80 t crane is also equipped with an 8.7 m -15 m bi-fold swingaway jib.
Thanks to its compact design, including a width of just 2.55 m, the four-axle taxi crane is particularly well-suited to jobs with limited space. It can travel with up to 13.3 t of its 19.1 t of counterweight at a 12-t axle load or 5.2 t of counterweight for a 10-t per axle loading.
The GMK4080L will be used on industrial, construction, and infrastructure projects across Northern Germany. It boasts a design that delivers maximum flexibility and efficiency for demanding projects and innovative technologies, such as MEGATRAK® suspension, MAXbase™ outrigger positioning, and the CCS crane control system.
Sönke Jordt celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. The family-run company is recognized for its innovative solutions in heavy haulage and lifting technology and is among the leading crane rental companies in Northern Germany. It offers crane rental and heavy haulage, as well as industrial installations and relocations.
