BW Converting to Host IMPACT 2026 Open House Focused on the Future of Flexographic Workflow Performance

One-day event at the company's Packaging Innovation Center will bring together leading technologies in prepress, platemaking, plate mounting, roll cleaning, press performance, and inspection

GREEN BAY, WI - April XX, 2026 - BW Converting will host IMPACT 2026 on May 14 at the company's Packaging Innovation Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, bringing together a group of industry technology leaders for a one-day event centered on the future of flexographic workflow performance.

The event will feature technologies and live demonstrations from AV Flexologic, Miraclon, Hybrid Software, and Polymount, alongside solutions from BW Converting's PCMC and Baldwin brands. Designed as an immersive open house experience, IMPACT 2026 will walk attendees through the complete journey from digital prepress and platemaking through plate mounting, pressroom performance, print inspection, and roll cleaning.

As converters face growing pressure to improve quality, reduce waste, accelerate turnaround times, and operate more efficiently across the production floor, IMPACT 2026 is designed to show how more connected, automated technologies can strengthen the entire flexographic workflow.

"Converters are looking for practical ways to improve performance across the full process, not just at one point in the workflow," said Rodney Pennings, Director of Sales at BW Converting. "IMPACT 2026 gives attendees a clear look at how advances in prepress, platemaking, mounting, press technology, inspection, and roll care can work together to create meaningful operational gains."

Among the featured technologies, HYBRID will demonstrate how PACKZ, CLOUDFLOW, the PDF RIP and Tectonics can optimize the flexo platemaking process. Together, these solutions provide a scalable, vendor-agnostic environment that empowers organizations to achieve faster time-to-press and consistent, high-quality results across all printing facilities. HYBRID Software offers a suite of integrated production tools designed to bring efficiency to labels and packaging.

Miraclon will showcase its FLEXCEL NX Ultra Solution platemaking technology, highlighting how advances in patterning, plate design and imaging can improve on press efficiency, consistency, and print performance - from platemaking through to the printed product.

AV Flexologic will demonstrate its EXACT Automated Flexo Plate Laser Cutting & Engraving System, which replaces traditional knife-based cutting with laser technology while also enabling plate engraving with unique information. The company will also highlight the latest capabilities of its SAMM 3.0 automatic plate mounter, including Automated Visual Inspection software that uses AI-based neural network image recognition to improve mounting accuracy, reduce operator dependency, and support higher throughput.

Polymount will present the Plate Cleaner 3.0, a widely adopted automated plate cleaning system in the mid- to wide-web flexographic market, as well as its Self-Adhesive Sleeve, designed to simplify plate mounting by eliminating plate mounting tape by mounting to a permanent self-adhesive polymer on the sleeve, guaranteed for 10 years.

From BW Converting's own portfolio, attendees will experience the PCMC Fusion Series of central impression flexo presses, engineered for high-speed, high-precision printing with advanced automation, award-winning drying, and fast setup and changeover performance. The press on display will be equipped with BW Converting's Baldwin Defender® Inspection technology, demonstrating how integrated inspection can support stronger quality control and faster issue detection on press.

Together, the technologies featured at IMPACT 2026 illustrate how workflow integration, smarter automation, and improved process control can deliver measurable gains in productivity, consistency, and competitiveness.
