Chinese Consul General in Penang Zhou Youbin Attends the Opening Ceremony of Lecture and Workshop Themed Building a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity

On June 22, Chinese Consul General in Penang Zhou Youbin attended the opening ceremony of the lecture and workshop themed "Building a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity" held at the Perak Campus of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The event was also attended by YB Ng Shy Ching, the Perak State Executive Councillor; the head of the Southeast Asia Research Centre for Humanities(SEARCH); the Rector of UiTM Perak Campus, as well as teachers and students.

Consul General Zhou provided an in-depth illustration on the significance in our times, scientific theory, and magnificent practice of China's vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity. He pointed out that this Chinese proposal has reached broad international common understandings and contributed strength of a responsible major country to world peace and prosperity. The building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future has set a fine example for state-to-state relations. As this year marks the launch of China's 15th Five-Year Plan and the 13th Malaysia Plan, it is highly believed that both sides will write more touching stories of cooperation and usher in a bright prospect of shared prosperity.
