Tucson, AZ - Representative Juan Ciscomani wrapped up a successful district work week focused on visiting several Community Project Funding (CPF) locations and celebrating the accomplishments of organizations throughout Arizona's Sixth Congressional District.
"District work weeks provide me with the ability to connect with constituents, hear their needs and priorities, and discuss how I am fighting for them in Washington. From joining leadership at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center to discuss funding for a new mammography unit, to meeting with Mayor Lisa Fitzgibbons about funding for improvements at Burris Road-Peters Road, this week included several great opportunities to share how I am fighting to deliver results for Southern Arizona," said Rep. Ciscomani. "I also had the privilege of joining Albers Aerospace, Florence Copper, the Casa Grande Rotary Club, and Pima JTED to celebrate each of their achievements and the ways they help move Southern Arizona forward. I am proud to partner with organizations like these to advocate for and advance Arizona's unique priorities."
As the only appropriator from Arizona in both the House and Senate, Representative Ciscomani is working to secure over $42 million across 20 projects across AZ-06 through the 2027 Appropriations process. As part of this district work week, the congressman visited five of these projects to discuss with local leadership the critical impacts these federal investments will have on their communities.
Ciscomani visited four projects in Graham County, which will support key needs for local communities:

Ciscomani also visited a project in Pinal County, which will support infrastructure needs throughout Casa Grande:
While in Casa Grande, Ciscomani attended the 5th Annual Casa Grande Oktoberfest to celebrate the Casa Grande Rotary Club's 100th anniversary and recognize the organization's lasting impact on the community. In its century of service, the Casa Grande Rotary Club has accomplished.
To conclude this week's CPF visits, Rep. Ciscomani visited the Sahuarita Police Department joined by Rep. Nathaniel Moran of Texas, to discuss a project that will deliver vital support for the department's needs:
"At the local level you can make such a huge difference, but you've got to have a partner in Washington, D.C. that's willing to work with you, listen to good ideas, and then actually fight to make it happen," said Rep. Moran. "Nobody outworks Juan Ciscomani in Washington, D.C. I guarantee it."
Rep. Ciscomani also joined with leadership at two critical organizations which represent the best of Arizona. Albers Aerospace marked the opening of their Tucson location with a ribbon cutting, which Rep. Ciscomani was proud to take part in. The company's expansion to Tucson strengthens and advances Southern Arizona's defense and aerospace manufacturing sector, bringing in new jobs while aiding national security.

Rep. Ciscomani also joined Florence Copper leadership and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin to commemorate the operation's success in domestic copper production. Florence Copper is the first new source of copper in the United States in nearly two decades and represents Arizona's commitment to domestic copper production and critical mineral supply.
To round out the week, Ciscomani joined the Pima JTED community for a beam signing ceremony at the new Pima JTED Innovation Learning Center. I am proud to have championed $2.7 million in federal funding for the construction of this center and look forward to how it will impact students for decades to come.
As Ciscomani continues the October district work period, he remains committed to partnering with local leaders and organizations across Southern Arizona to deliver real results for Arizona's Sixth District.
