The Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Sports

The University of Toledo hosted the Cleveland Cavalier's Ben Levicki, the team's artificial intelligence solutions architect, for "Game On: How AI is Changing the Future of Sports" on Wednesday, Nov. 5 in in Memorial Field House Room 2100.

Dr. Barbara Ritter, right, dean of the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation, and Bryan Blair, left, vice president and director of athletics at UToledo, engaged Levicki in a discussion on how artificial intelligence is transforming the business and performance sides of professional sports.

Levicki also fielded questions from the audience.

"Game On" supported Great Lakes AI Week, which is bringing together academic researchers, business leaders, policy makers and more for educational programming being staged in Toledo and northwest Ohio through Friday, Nov. 7.

UToledo will next host an AI in Healthcare Symposium from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, in the Collier Building Room 1000B on Health Science Campus.
