San Rafael Canal Boat Tour

The Fire Department recently hosted Mayor Kate and the Director of BCDC on a boat tour along the canal. The Bay Conservation and Development Commission has recently determined that the canal (upstream through Albert Park) is within their jurisdiction.
The Mayor took them out to see the dense, existing development along the waterway and to brainstorm potential paths forward. Part of the discussion also focused on potentials steps that could be taken to address pollution and sanitary issues along the canal.
