DENVER - Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) would like the public to be aware of upcoming infrastructure improvements that could temporarily impact travel.
Tomorrow: Lane Striping on Lincoln Street, Colfax Avenue to 20th Avenue
Tomorrow, Saturday, October 10, from approximately 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., a DOTI crew will be restriping the travel lanes on Lincoln Street from Colfax Avenue to 20th Avenue following completed paving operations. As long-lines are painted, travel lanes will be open to traffic flow; crosswalks will be implemented by closing two travel lanes at a time. Drivers may encounter minimal disruptions as other markings are replaced.
Next Week: Paving Operations on EastAlameda Avenue, Dahlia Street to Monaco Street
Starting as early as Wednesday, October 14, DOTI will be paving East Alameda Avenue from Dahlia Street to Monaco Street. Work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Crews will work to keep one travel lane open in each direction. Travelers may wish to consider alternate routes.
Next Week: Milling Operations on East 8th Avenue, Colorado Blvd to Holly Street
Starting as early as Wednesday, October 14, DOTI will begin milling operations on East 8th Avenue from Colorado Blvd to Holly Street. The milling crew will be onsite first to remove the top layer of asphalt; a paving crew will follow, laying down a new surface. Work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The team plans to prioritize keeping one travel lane open in the westbound direction. If necessary, they may need to provide the travel lane going eastbound instead. In either instance, East 6th Avenue will be the posted detour route.
