Registration is open for classes in municipal court administration developed by the New Jersey Judiciary and Raritan Valley Community College.
The Judiciary partnered with the Branchburg-based college to offer Principles of Municipal Court Administration (POMCA), an 11-week course for individuals who are interested in working toward a certification necessary for certain municipal court administrative positions.
Previously open only to Judiciary employees, this class was first introduced to the public in the spring of 2019. Another offering is now available in fall 2026.
The program will give prospective municipal court employees an understanding of Judiciary policies and basic municipal court procedures, including case processing, case management, and financial fundamentals, to prepare them for career opportunities.
The cost for the class, which meets virtually once a week beginning Monday, Sept. 14 is $968.76. Additional information is available on the RVCC website.
