Original Release 3/26/26:

Around 9 a.m. on March 26, 2026, officers responded to the area of E. Euclid Ave and N. Market. An employee from a nearby business reported a disorderly male in the area and asked that he be trespassed.

When officers responded they located the male inside a vehicle. As they contacted the male, he pulled out a knife and refused to cooperate with officers' commands. Officers moved to safety and more resources were requested, including SWAT and the Hostage Negotiation Team.

At this time, this is an active scene. We ask that you avoid the area as N. Market St. is shut down from E. Bridgeport Avenue to E. Euclid Avenue.
