In honor of Veterans Day, American Campus Communities (ACC), the nation's leader in student housing, reaffirmed its dedication to supporting military families on November 8th by awarding $25,000 in scholarships to five Texas A&M University students through its partnership with Folds of Honor. This initiative not only supports the education of these students but also pays tribute to the families of America's fallen and disabled service members.
The event, held during the Texas A&M Men's basketball game, featured a scholarship presentation by Dylan Woollard from Folds of Honor, alongside Katherine Trampota, Director of Property Management at American Campus Communities, and Daniel Crownover, ACC's Chief Financial Officer and Texas A&M alum, Class of 2005. Each student received a $5,000 scholarship, underscoring ACC's ongoing commitment to educational advancement and community support.
The five scholarship recipients, studying majors such as ocean engineering, nuclear engineering, biological and agricultural engineering, biochemistry and genetics, and telecommunications, are honoring their families' service while advancing their own academic careers. ACC has partnered with Folds of Honor since 2018, awarding more than $200,000 in scholarships to help students from military families access higher education.
"We're proud to support the families of our nation's heroes through our partnership with Folds of Honor," said Daniel Crownover. "Giving back to the communities we serve is at the heart of what we do. By investing in these students' education, we're making a real, meaningful impact and helping build a brighter future for military families."
