Occident sets up a special unit to provide support to those affected by the storm in Catalonia

"The insurance company is offering its customers telephone support to answer any questions about the effects of the torrential rain."

Occident has set up a special unit to reinforce the care and service given to its insured persons affected by the storm that has had a significant impact on Catalonia, where more than 120 litres fell per square metre in some localities due to torrential rains and hail.

Occident provides support and assistance against the storm

Occident customers have access to telephone support to submit their inquiries and report claims related to the storm through the following phone number:

- Occident freephone number: 900 110 200

In this regard, policyholders are reminded that they can avail themselves of the personalised guidance of their insurance agent, who will assist with all procedures related to the impact of the storm.

Occident has reinforced its network of insurance appraisers to assess the damage caused by the storm in the affected areas. In addition, in areas that are difficult to access, the customer is offered the possibility of obtaining a remote assessment, better known as video appraisal.

Occident reminds its customers that flooding is a compensable event covered by the Insurance Compensation Consortium (CCS). The CCS is a public body that is financed by a small amount included in the price of any insurance policy and which is deposited in a guarantee fund intended to cover extraordinary risks among all insured persons in Spain.

Those affected by flooding can file their insurance claim through the Consortium website: https://www.consorseguros.es or by calling this freephone number: 900 222 665.
