Syracuse Mayor Sharon F. Owens will deliver the 2026 State of the City address on Thursday, January 29 at 6:00 p.m. from the auditorium at William Nottingham High School on the city's Eastside. Mayor Owens' first State of the City address will share key priorities and aspirations for Syracuse's future.
"Syracuse is a city built on resilience, innovation, and hope," said Mayor Owens. "We must honor our history while embracing the opportunities ahead. Our past is our foundation, but our vision will be our legacy. And that vision is clear: a Syracuse that thrives, a Syracuse that leads, a Syracuse where every person has a place".
The Mayor's State of the City address, an annual report from the Mayor of the City to the Common Council, is required by the City's charter. Residents who wish to attend the State of the City address may register at goto.syr.gov/SOTC2026 by Friday, January 23. The address will also be broadcast on WCNY Public Broadcasting Channel 24.
