The Richardson Symphony Orchestra's season opens with spirit, warmth and sweeping lyricism. Weber's Overture to Euryanthe launches the evening with operatic drama and sparkling orchestral color. Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 follows - a work of striking contrasts, weaving together moments of haunting introspection and sharp-edged rhythmic vitality, highlighting the soloists expressive range. The concert concludes with Brahm's Symphony No. 2, a sunlit masterpiece overflowing with serene beauty, rich harmonies and expansive joy.

Watercolor and water media paintings juried into the 63rd Annual Southwestern Watercolor Society Membership Exhibition are on exhibit at the SP/N Gallery. The watercolor exhibition of 78 paintings feature all types of water media paintings on paper from abstract to realistic. Most of the paintings are for sale.

Stars of Texas: A Miss Texas Revue

Electronics Recycling & Paper Shredding Event

The Richardson Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (RCPAAA) will hold an Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event. Drop off documents and electronic devices (cell phones, flat screen TVs or monitors, peripherals, etc.) to be recycled or shredded.

There is no charge for dropping off electronics and five boxes or less of paper (banker's box size) however there will be a minimum $5 charge per box more than five boxes.
