Pontiac Public Library Story Walk Grand Opening
Come out on Saturday, September 13, at 10:00 AM to help the Pontiac Public Library celebrate the StoryWalk Grand Opening! This new addition to our community, "Reading is a Walk in the Park," will be installed at the Humiston-Riverside Park. The Grand Opening title will feature local Author and Illustrator John Sandford's book Oak Leaf!
A StoryWalk is a series of angled display boxes each containing pages of a children's storybook. The boxes are installed along a pathway allowing you to enjoy a story as you enjoy the outdoors. Stories will be changed four to six times a year providing new fun in the park year-round.
Many thanks to the Reaching Across Illinois Library System "My Library Is" Grant and all of our StoryWalk Contributors for making this new addition possible. And a sincere thanks to local Author & Illustrator John Sandford for his assistance with our Grand Opening!
