Kelly Neubecker Joins Sunrise Banks as General Counsel

ST. PAUL, Minn. (September 29, 2026) - Sunrise Banks, a values-based bank and financial technology (fintech) organization with locations in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn., and Sioux Falls, S.D., has welcomed Kelly Neubecker as its new General Counsel. She will initially focus on strengthening the organization's fintech division.

Neubecker has more than two decades of experience in fintech, payments, commercial lending, asset-based lending, and equipment finance. She has built a reputation for making complicated ideas accessible and has a rare talent for breaking down dense legal and financial concepts so teams across an organization can act with clarity and confidence.

Prior to joining Sunrise Banks, Neubecker served as VP - Assistant General Counsel at Pathward, a Sioux Falls-based company that specializes in banking-as-a-service (BaaS), commercial finance, and payment solutions.

Born and raised in Detroit, Neubecker earned both her J.D. and her B.S. in Business Administration and Labor Relations from Wayne State University. She currently lives in Detroit with her husband and two sons.
