At approximately 10:00 p.m. last night, a vehicle struck and sheared off a fire hydrant near the intersection of Ventura Road and Seaview Street. City crews responded immediately to isolate the hydrant and restore normal water service. Some residents in the surrounding area may experience temporary water discoloration due to sediment disturbance in the water mains. The water remains safe to use, and any discoloration should clear within a few hours. Running cold water from an outside spigot or bathtub faucet can help flush your household pipes.
