USD News Minute: What you need to know this week at USD

This is your USD News Minute.
Tomorrow is Veterans Days and the university's Military and Veterans Program is celebrating our veterans at Colachis Plaza. The first 50 veterans can enjoy a complimentary meal - as a small thank you for their service to our country. 70 other free meal tickets are available for the rest of the Torero community to celebrate as well. Pick up your ticket on Veterans Day at the Military and Veterans Program Center - UC 225.
The Kroc Institute of Peace and Justice is celebrating Women PeaceMakers and they are inviting the campus community to connect with them. A Conversation With the Women PeaceMakers will be on Wednesday, November 12 at 6:30 p.m…followed by a series of other events…for details visit their website.
And, USD's Year of Wellness continues. Last week, an event called "Care for Your Hair and Your Mind" was hosted at the Palomar Health Student Wellness Center where nearly two dozen students participated by getting a brief mental health check-in with campus counselors, followed by a professional haircut.
