Washington, D.C. - ASM is pleased to announce that the Japanese Society for Virology (JSV) has joined the Journal of Virology (JVI) as an affiliated partner, becoming the 5th organization in the journal's growing international network of virology society partners.
JVI publishes innovative research that advances the understanding of viral biology, spanning the full spectrum of infection from entry to egress, including studies on host-virus interactions, pathogenesis, immune responses, viral evolution, vaccines, antivirals and transmission that provide clear biological insight or translational relevance. As part of the affiliation, JSV members will receive discounts on JVI individual subscriptions, page charges, supplemental material hosting and the purchase of reprints and e-prints. In turn, JSV and its members will play a vital role in engaging with, promoting and contributing to JVI's scientific excellence.
"We are thrilled to welcome the Japanese Society for Virology as an affiliated partner of JVI," said Dinesh Soares, Ph.D., Assistant Director of ASM Journals. "This collaboration strengthens JVI's global virology network and reflects our shared commitment to supporting researchers, encouraging scientific exchange and advancing discoveries that move the field forward."
By bringing together leading virology organizations, JVI strengthens connections across the global research community. JSV joins the American Society for Virology (ASV), Society of Virology (GfV), Australasian Virology Society (AVS) and Korean Society of Virology (KSoV) in supporting JVI's mission to advance and disseminate cutting-edge virology research.
"We believe this partnership will inspire new scientific interactions and provide valuable opportunities for our members in the international virology community. We look forward to working closely with ASM and JVI to advance virology for the benefit of the global scientific community and public health," said Yasushi Kawaguchi, D.V.M., Ph.D., President, JSV.
