April 7, 2026: Man Charged With Three Counts of Murder in Pomona Crash That Killed Pregnant Woman, Boyfriend

Marshall Campbell Judson faces 57 years to life in state prison

POMONA, Calif. - A 31-year-old man has been charged with three counts of murder in the deaths of a 25-year-old pregnant woman and 26-year-old man after allegedly ramming his pickup truck into a police car, fleeing police at over 100 mph and slamming his truck into the victims' car, killing them instantly.

"The senseless death of a young couple just weeks away from the birth of their first child is heartbreaking and enraging," Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said. "Jennifer Loera Zarco and Marc Trejo Saldivar had their whole lives ahead of them. Now, instead of planning celebrations to welcome a newborn, their families are planning funerals. I extend my deepest sympathies to the victims' families and their entire community devastated by this enormous loss. Our office will prove these charges in court and seek the maximum possible sentence to ensure accountability."

Marshall Campbell Judson (dob 6/1/94) of Pomona is charged in case 26PSCF00246 with three counts of murder; three counts of fleeing a pursuing peace officer's motor vehicle causing death; one count of assault with a deadly weapon upon a peace officer; and one count of carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, loaded and not registered.

On April 1, 2026, at approximately 10:11 p.m., officers from the Pomona Police Department were responding to a domestic violence call when Judson allegedly returned to the residence and began driving aggressively past the two patrol cars. He is accused of reversing directly into one of the patrol cars, narrowly missing an officer and the resident who made the call.

The defendant allegedly immediately fled through the residential neighborhood, failed to stop at stop signs, made unsafe turning movements, briefly crossed the double yellow lines entering opposing lanes of traffic and reached speeds exceeding 100 mph in a posted 35 mph zone.

Upon leaving the neighborhood and entering the intersection at Garey Avenue and County Road, the defendant is accused of broadsiding a car driven by Marc Anthony Trejo Saldivar, 26, with his girlfriend Jennifer Alejandra Loera Zarco, 25, as the passenger. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Loera Zarco was nine months pregnant, with a due date of April 20.

The defendant was arrested at the scene. Inside the defendant's vehicle, officers recovered a loaded unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

At a hearing on April 6, Judson's arraignment was continued to April 28 in Department N of the Pomona Courthouse. The Court set bail at no bail.

If convicted as charged, Judson faces 57 years to life in state prison.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Michelle Weiske of the Pomona Branch Office and remains under investigation by the Pomona Police Department.

The charges filed in this case are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
