AFIA Opens Registration for New PCQI Training Refresher Course

The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has opened registration for its new 2025 Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FPSCA) Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) refresher training course. The FSPCA PCQI training refresh course, for AFIA members only, will be held Dec. 9-10 in Nashville, Tenn.

The FSPCA PCQI training course is an ideal opportunity for trained facility PCQIs to revisit key concepts, sharpen their understanding and ensure continued compliance with Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) standards. Rather than serving as a full recertification, the session highlights essential principles from the FDA-recognized 'standardized curriculum,' reinforcing the core material in a focused format.

This training provides a comprehensive refresher on essential food safety topics, covering FSMA requirements for animal food, current good manufacturing practices and key safety hazards. Participants will revisit food safety plan development, hazard analysis and preventive control determinations and the management of process, sanitation and supply chain controls.
