On January 23, 2026 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus Ashok Kumar.
The parties discussed the current agenda of bilateral relations, including the exchange of high-level visits, issues of further expanding trade between Belarus and India, and cooperation in international organizations.
The First Deputy Minister emphasized Belarus' readiness to actively work with New Delhi under the framework of India's BRICS chairmanship in 2026.
The importance of the soonest holding in Minsk of the 12th meeting of the Belarusian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in Economics, along with the events in the fields of healthcare, technology and education was noted.
Sergey Lukashevich congratulated the Head of the Indian Embassy on the upcoming celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Republic of India on January 26.
