Governor Ayotte Calls on X to Suspend Account Calling for Political Violence

CONCORD, NH - Today, Governor Kelly Ayotte condemned threats of violence made by the disaffiliated "Libertarian Party of New Hampshire" on social media platform X and called for the account's suspension:

"Violent rhetoric is completely unacceptable and has no place in our civil discourse. These posts plainly violate X's own rules on violent content, and I'm calling on X to remove them and suspend the account immediately."

In a letter to Michael O'Herlihy, Head of Safety at X Corporation, the Governor called on X to remove the violent posts and suspend the LPNH account for its repeated violations of the platform's Violent Content Policy.
