LEWISTOWN, Pa. - Geisinger Lewistown Hospital has opened its newly renovated 4B inpatient nursing unit, marking a significant milestone in the hospital's ongoing transformation to private patient rooms and reinforcing its commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
The new 4B unit includes 16 private patient rooms designed to enhance comfort, privacy and healing while supporting the highest standards of patient care. The project is part of a broader modernization effort that will ultimately bring the hospital's total number of private patient rooms to 79 by winter 2027.
The renovation represents a $6 million investment in the future of patient care at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
"We're so thankful to see this phase of our medical-surgical renovations come to completion," said Stacey Osborne, vice president and chief nursing officer at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. "With this project, we've now touched every floor in the hospital, creating spaces that better support both our patients and our care teams. We still have several other projects ahead of us, so the pace certainly isn't slowing down."
