The Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Coastal Resources Division (CRD) will host the third Georgia Resiliency Conference Oct. 20-21, 2025, on Jekyll Island. This year's theme is "Minimizing Georgia's Risk, Maximizing Georgia's Future."
The two-day event will showcase 108 Georgia-based projects, 11 out-of-state projects, and 30 poster presentations. Attendees will also have opportunities to network and build partnerships with professionals from across sectors working on resiliency and climate-related issues.
"The goal of this conference has always been to highlight the great work being done in Georgia, provide opportunities for collaboration, prevent duplication of efforts, and share the latest local science," said Jennifer Kline, conference organizer with CRD.
Session topics will span a wide range of resiliency issues, including marine fisheries, local government planning, state initiatives, agriculture and forestry, research, community engagement, invasive species, habitat restoration, law and policy, GIS tools, utilities, nature-based solutions, conservation, education, media, emergency preparedness, economics, private partnerships, weather and climate, and public health.
The Georgia Resiliency Conference is open to the public. Registration and additional information are available at GeorgiaClimateConference.org.
The mission of the Coastal Resources Division is to balance coastal development and protection of the coast's natural assets, socio-cultural heritage and recreational resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
