Parliamentary Secretary Keith Azzopardi Tanti, together with the Director of Esplora, Vince Micallef Pulè, officially launched "An eARThistic Easter" 2026-an extensive Easter program at the Esplora Interactive Science Centre dedicated to exploring nature through science and art.

The programme, which will run between the 6th and 12th of April 2026, is designed around the STEAM approach, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This initiative within Xjenza Malta aims to provide educational and hands-on spaces where children and families can discover how nature expresses itself through sound, patterns, and movement, while strengthening their critical thinking and problem-solving skills in an informal environment.

In his address, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation, Keith Azzopardi Tanti stated, "Initiatives of this nature continue to strengthen Malta's commitment to quality STEAM education and informal science learning. Experiential environments like Esplora play a key role in complementing formal education by providing attractive and practical opportunities for children and their families. These competencies are fundamental in preparing young people to become responsible citizens capable of adapting to a rapidly changing world."

For his part, the Director of Esplora, Vince Micallef Pulè, noted that the programme promotes environmental awareness and inclusive access to science education for all families. He stated that, "Through carefully designed hands-on activities, children and families will be encouraged to observe natural phenomena and experiment with a variety of materials inspired by the environment. Our goal is to demonstrate how scientific exploration can happen through play and creativity. We invite families to visit Esplora for a safe and stimulating experience that leaves every visitor full of new ideas and the desire to continue exploring and creating."

Throughout the festival week, several varied initiatives will take place, including interactive science shows, creative workshops, and sensory experiences tailored for different age groups. Activities will explore themes such as animal communication, biomechanics in nature, and the theory of light and colour, alongside specialized sensory engagement for early childhood. These efforts ensure inclusive participation across all stages of child development.
