A Transformational Two Years for President Lawrence P. Ward

Now, with another Commencement behind him, more possibilities lie ahead in Ward's third year as president of the University of Hartford.

A new strategic plan, long in development, is reaching its implementation phase. An actionable, forward-looking, and data-informed roadmap, the plan will guide the University's priorities and investments through 2031. The strategic plan also sets the stage for an ambitious comprehensive fundraising campaign.

Today, Ward, is as energetic and optimistic as ever.

In a recent televisionappearance, he talked about the sense of forward movement he sees on campus-one he says every member of the University community is contributing to.

"I think over the first two years, the work that I'm most proud of is the evolution of the culture of the University," he said. "Faculty and staff across schools and colleges and across departments, all recognizing what's ahead and believing in the University of Hartford." Year three will include challenges along with achievement, with the UHart community powerfully asking, "What can we do better together?"
