SPRINGFIELD - The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will conduct a public drawing for the allocation of trapping permits for Snakeden Hollow State Fish and Wildlife Area in Knox County at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. The drawing will be held at the site office located at 1936 Route 167 in Victoria.
Drawings will also be held for Buffalo Prairie Pheasant Habitat Area, Spoon River State Forest, and Victoria Pheasant Habitat Area.
Permits will be allocated through a lottery-type drawing. Trappers must be present to enter the drawing, and everyone who enters must have a current or previous year trapping license in their possession.
