Business School Expands Professional Certification Access with CeriFi

The Cameron School of Business (CSB) at the University of St. Thomas has established a new academic partnership with CeriFi, a national provider of professional finance certification preparation materials, expanding access to industry-aligned learning resources for faculty and students.

The partnership provides Cameron School of Business faculty with complimentary access to CeriFi's professional certification study packages, including materials for the Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner, Financial Risk Manager and Securities Industry Essentials exams. Students will receive a 20 percent discount on all CeriFi products purchased through the University's official partnership portal.

The collaboration emerged after CSB Faculty Member Andy Liu met with a CeriFi regional representative while attending the Southern Finance Association annual conference. CeriFi agreed to provide free faculty access and student discounts in exchange for being recognized as an academic partner.

"Through this partnership, we are able to offer meaningful benefits to both our faculty and students, aimed at strengthening professional development and career readiness," Liu said. "This partnership expands the resources available to our school, enhances student career preparation and strengthens our connection to professional finance credentials that are highly valued by employers."

Dr. Beena George, interim dean of the Cameron School of Business, agrees that this is another benefit that sets UST students apart for career readiness.

"Our partnerships that provide access to CeriFi, along with other external learning platforms such as Coursera for Campus and the Bloomberg Terminal, extend learning well beyond the classroom," said Dr. George. "These resources support students' academic work while also cultivating habits of continuous, self-directed learning. In today's business environment, the ability to seek out and engage in lifelong learning is a professional necessity."

Faculty access to CeriFi materials is designed to help instructors stay current with professional standards, advise students on certification pathways and integrate relevant content into coursework where appropriate. For students, the discounted materials support internship preparation, job-market readiness and long-term professional development.

The CeriFi partnership builds on the Cameron School of Business's existing portfolio of external learning resources. Through the Coursera for Campus Basic Plan, all University of St. Thomas students have unlimited access to more than 1,500 Guided Projects and one free course per year, allowing students to build practical, job-ready skills using industry-standard tools.

Students also have access to the Bloomberg Terminal, located in the Doherty Library, which provides real-time and historical financial data, analytics and research tools widely used in the finance industry.

"These resources support students' academic work while also cultivating habits of continuous, self-directed learning," Dr. George said. "Providing access to such opportunities has long been a priority for the Cameron School of Business and the University of St. Thomas. In today's business environment, the ability to seek out and engage in lifelong learning is a professional necessity."
