Keep up the momentum in the Mid-Season with the new Onsen map plus a remastered Summit and the return of Hacienda. Demolition makes its Black Ops 7 debut at launch, joined shortly afterward by Aim High and Snipers Only. In the Mid-Season, test your parkour skills in the new Freerun mode, turn up the temperature in Heat Wave Havoc, and then chill out with some Freeze Tag.

Multiplayer Maps

Beacon (Launch)

Brand-New, 6v6, Medium-Sized

Deploy to the frozen terrain of Beacon, a remote Guild facility blanketed in snow. A destroyed helicopter lies in flaming ruins just outside the map's border and crates labeled with "Skyveil Array" fill the entrance, offering substantial cover while moving toward the facility.

Inside, hunt down targets within the Housing unit, Monitoring Station, and Storage shed. Watch out for enemies positioned around the central Bridge and take long shots across the distant Tundra. This mid-sized map combines a variety of sightlines, so there's no wrong approach. Bundle up, head out, and keep warm with aggressive tactics to overwhelm the enemy forces.

Abyss (Launch)

Brand-New, 6v6/2v2, Small-Sized

From the Engine to the Torpedo Bay, battle through the confined quarters of a submarine, trading shots along narrow corridors with just enough room to outmaneuver your opponents. Keep a keen eye out for rope Ascenders placed throughout the sub, giving access to the Forward and Aft Decks up top to push for the flank... but be mindful of players at the top of the Sail who have views of the upper decks.

In the interior time your movements through tight spaces while seeking out vantage points throughout, such as the upper walkway in the Forward and Aft Silos. When on the same level as your opponent, dodge and weave amongst the boat's various obstacles to outmaneuver your foe using any means possible.

Plaza (Launch)

Remaster, 6v6, Medium-Sized

First introduced in Black Ops 2, Plaza has been beautifully remastered for the first time since 2012. With the addition of Wall Jumping and Black Ops 7's unique arsenal, this is Plaza like you've never experienced it before.

Battle across the outer Mall and through the Concourse as fireworks burst in the night sky. In the center, engage in fierce fights over the iconic stairwell, rising to an upper platform on both sides, grenades flying as Operators seek to damage enemies on the other side. Explore the luxurious interior locations of the Colossus Resort, including the popular Luna Nightclub alongside high-end shops, the extravagant Red Bar, and other staples of the rich life at sea.

Gridlock (Launch)

Remaster, 6v6, Medium-Sized

Traffic grinds to a halt in the remastered Gridlock, first introduced in Black Ops 4. An explosive heist has left the freeway in shambles over a Japanese city. Battle among overturned vehicles and through the rubble, the remnants of the attack flown across the various shops and Promenade.

Fight through the Garden and Terrace bookending the bath house, or take to the long sightlines down the Street, a delivery truck on either end providing excellent views all around. For a more covered view, head into the Restaurant, offering killer vantage points from multiple angles.

Mission: Trident (Launch)

Brand-New Skirmish Map, 20v20

Season 03 continues to up the map offering in the 20v20 Skirmish mode with Mission: Trident. The Old Arsenal Avalon point of interest is the latest area of operations, with patrol boats assisting in navigating the waterways and shoreline through harbor warehouses and numerous medieval fortifications.

Seek the helipad on the high ground atop a section of an old cruise liner, with a surprisingly opulent interior. Then watch for rooftop snipers across the long sightlines, ramped bridges, and other thoroughfares.

Onsen (Mid-Season)

Brand-New, 6v6/2v2, Small-Sized

Head out to the Japanese hot springs in Onsen, but don't get too relaxed. This spa offers a number of places to cool down, though the central steam bath is where the action is likely to heat up, especially as it offers the perfect cover for incoming attacks.

Weave past the oni statue on your way to set up heightened cover positions along the main structure, with outbuildings either side of the steam bath.

Summit (Mid-Season)

Remastered, 6v6, Medium-Sized

Summit makes its triumphant return in Black Ops 7! First seen in the original Black Ops, this classic mid-sized map brings Operators to a research facility perched high on the snowy mountains. Wall Jump through tight interior labs, catwalks, and a central control room surrounded by exterior routes and a dangerous cliffside.

Its balanced three-lane layout supports fast engagements, flanking paths, and vertical sightlines, now explorable through the updated Black Ops 7 movement system.

Hacienda (Mid-Season)

Returning, 6v6, Medium-Sized

The luxurious vineyard estate returns from Black Ops 6, now with additional maneuvering points via Wall Jumps. Battle through the grand central villa, weave between vineyard paths, and push through the garage and courtyard as firefights erupt across the property.

With a classic three-lane layout blending tight interior fights and open exterior sightlines, Hacienda delivers fast, tactical engagements in one of the most stylish battlegrounds in the Black Ops series.

Ascent (Mid-Season)

New Special Map, Freerun Mode

This brand-new special map has been created specifically for the Freerun mode. A bespoke obstacle map with vertigo-inducing jumps and little room for error, you'll need all your dexterity to survive the lengthy ascension to the top of this map!

Test your movement mastery across ten zones within this map, with only your sure footing to help you. Expect more info on this exciting new mode in the Mid-Season update.

Multiplayer Modes

Demolition (Launch)

Returning Mode

Out with the old, in with the boom. In this explosive returning mode, the attacking team must detonate both bomb sites while the defending team attempts to hold them off, with both sides respawning throughout the match.

Each round begins with a two-and-a-half-minute timer and everyone on the attacking team is equipped with a bomb. Plant a bomb at either the A or B site to pause the timer and start the countdown to destruction, giving the defending team an opportunity to sweep in and defuse it. Extra time is added when one site is destroyed, though the attackers must detonate both to win the round.

If both teams reach a round tie, then it's on to Overtime, where both sides fight to be the first to detonate a single site. Push hard and don't hesitate.

Aim High (In-Season)

Returning Mode (Moshpit)

First introduced in Black Ops 6, Aim High returns, the perfect headshot trainer for sharpshooters of all skill levels. Compete in a variety of game modes where headshots instantly eliminate enemies, while shots against any other part of the body deal minimal damage. Outfit your Loadouts for precision and aim for the noggin.

Snipers Only (In-Season)

Returning Mode (Moshpit)

All warmed up from the Aim High playlist? Turn the challenge up a notch with Snipers Only, a pure sniping experience where Equipment, Secondary Weapons, Field Upgrades, and Scorestreaks are all restricted to keep the focus on the rifle in your hands. Take aim, breathe, and make your shots count.

Freerun (Mid-Season)

New Mode

Run and climb your way through Ascent, an original map for the new Freerun mode arriving in the Mid-Season that pits ten racers in a sprint to the finish line. Compete for additional rewards in the Mid-Season Freerun Event.

Heat Wave Havoc (Mid-Season)

New Mode

Bring the burn in the new Heat Wave Havoc LTM, challenging players to raise their Heat Level by supporting the team with non-lethal cooperative actions in a Moshpit of Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint.

There are five Heat Levels in all, with each level granting additional abilities that will transform your Operator into a blazing ball of fury. Generate heat through support actions like revealing enemies, scrambling enemy radars, buffing teammates and impairing enemies, capturing and defending objectives, and other non-lethal actions.

The Heat Levels and their corresponding Operator bonuses are as follows:

  • Low Heat: Faster Field Upgrade recharge.
  • Medium Heat: Faster movement, sprint-to-fire speed, and mid-air mobility.
  • Hot: Faster weapon reloads, ADS speed, and swap speed.
  • Extra Hot: Equipment refills after eliminating enemies.
  • Extra Extra Hot: Increased damage and score for headshots.

Freeze Tag (Mid-Season)

New Mode

Following the scorching Heat Wave Havoc, take some time to chill in the new Freeze Tag LTM. When dealt lethal damage, Operators will now become frozen instead of being eliminated. Freezing rival players will earn score for your team. Fellow teammates can save their incapacitated allies by reaching and defending their frozen forms, helping to unthaw them in time to rejoin the fight. The first team to reach the score limit wins.
