President Karis met with Lithuanian President in Tartu and will travel to Lithuania for state visit in mid-April
President Alar Karis met today with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, who visited the Baltic Defence College in Tartu. The Estonian and Lithuanian presidents discussed good bilateral relations, the security situation in the region, drone surveillance and anti-drone options, developments in Ukraine and the Nordic-Baltic cooperation.
The debate will continue in mid-April, when President Alar Karis will travel to Lithuania on a state visit with his wife Sirje Karis, at the invitation of Lithuanian Head of State Gitanas Nausėda.
The detailed programme of the state visit, which will take place from 15 to 17 April, will be published as the visit approaches.
