Pinnacle Financial Partners adds banking leaders in Thomasville

July 30, 2026

THOMASVILLE, Ga., July 30, 2026 - Pinnacle Financial Partners has added Raymond Thompson as market executive for Thomasville, Georgia, and Tina Ramsey as office leader of its Gateway office. Thompson will lead Pinnacle's commercial banking efforts and overall market strategy while Ramsey will oversee the Gateway office's retail banking operations and client experience. Janet Dean, previously retail market leader, has been promoted to area manager of client services to lead retail and small business banking across the entire region.

"Ray has spent his career building trusted relationships with business owners across this market, and his leadership will strengthen our ability to serve clients throughout South Georgia," said Ty Turner, regional president at Pinnacle Financial Partners. "Adding Ray as market executive, alongside Tina's leadership of our Gateway office, gives clients experienced local bankers who understand this community and are committed to helping people and businesses succeed."

Thompson brings more than 20 years of banking experience, most recently serving as market president for Ameris Bank's Big Bend and Northwest Florida region, where he led commercial banking across a six-county market from Thomasville to Panama City Beach. Before that, he served as commercial banking manager for Synovus in Thomasville and previously held market president and commercial banking leadership roles with Capital City Bank and Ameris. He works with middle-market and commercial clients while coordinating Pinnacle's full range of banking, treasury management, private banking, wealth management and other specialized financial services. Thompson earned his bachelor's degree from Florida State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and the Florida School of Banking. He serves as chairman of the board for Thomas University and is active in Rotary International.

Ramsey joins Pinnacle from Ameris Bank, where she most recently served as branch manager. During her banking career, she has held leadership and client-facing roles including assistant branch manager, universal banker and teller. She has extensive experience in retail banking, business development, branch operations and team leadership. A Thomasville native, Ramsey will lead the Gateway office and help individuals, families and small businesses with their banking needs.
