LOCAL NEWS | Aurore Badré Champions Youth Mentorship and Workforce Development through NWIR NYC Council

As Philanthropy Chair for the National Women in Roofing (NWIR) New York City Council, architectural engineering associate Aurore Badré has worked for the past two years to expand the organization's outreach and mentorship efforts. Under her leadership, NWIR NYC has forged new partnerships with educational nonprofits, industry organizations, contractors, and trade associations to introduce students and youth to careers in engineering, building science, roofing, restoration, construction, and the skilled trades.

Through hands-on educational experiences and mentorship opportunities, Aurore has helped connect young people from all backgrounds to the wide range of career paths available in the built environment. Her collaborations have included partnerships with IIBEC Metro New York, Skyline Restoration, Pyramid Restoration, the Salvadori Center, the International Masonry Institute, Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1, Roofers Local 8, and the Tools and Tiaras Girls Summer Camp.
