El Dorado Irrigation District to launch new online reservation system for Sly Park Recreation Area

PLACERVILLE, Calif. -- The El Dorado Irrigation District announced today that it will launch a new online reservation system for Sly Park Recreation Area at Jenkinson Lake in Pollock Pines, effective Aug. 17.

The upgraded platform is designed to give campers a more convenient and flexible way to plan their visits to one of the region's most popular camping and recreation destinations.

Beginning Aug. 17, campers will be able to manage their own reservations entirely online - including making changes or cancellations - without needing to call or email EID recreation staff, as was previously required.

The new system also allows visitors to explore campsite areas in greater detail and view real-time availability all in one place.

"This new system is all about making the camping experience easier and more convenient for our visitors," said El Dorado Irrigation District Park and Recreation Manager Emily Bertram. "Campers will now have the same self-service tools they've come to expect from other outdoor recreation destinations, while still enjoying everything that makes Sly Park special."

There will be a window where visitors will be unable to access either reservation system as the changeover happens; this will be from 5 p.m. on Aug. 13 until the new system goes live at 9 a.m. on Aug. 17. This allows all existing reservations from the previous system to be uploaded into the new system without missing anyone.

What's New for Campers
