Ken Shropshire and Michael Morris Partnering to Provide Guidance to Sports Advisory Clients
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - SeventySix Capital, the modern sports investment platform, announced that Ken Shropshire and Michael Morris have been named Strategic Advisors.
Shropshire and Morris will focus on advisory client acquisition, strategic growth, and executive leadership and governance for professional and college sports executives and leading sports companies, while also providing strategic insight and influence across SeventySix Capital's sports tech and gaming venture capital portfolio investments.
Ken Shropshire is a Professor Emeritus at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In his previous thirty-year career at Wharton he founded and directed the Wharton Sports Business Initiative and led the sports focused executive education programs. He was the first CEO of the Global Sport Institute at Arizona State University where he was also the Adidas Distinguished Professor of Global Sport. Ken is a prolific author, bringing decades of expertise in advising professional sports leagues, teams, ownership groups, and media companies. His extensive background spans academia, law, and sports leadership, making him uniquely qualified to guide SeventySix Capital's client organizations in governance, leadership, and the creation of long-term value across the entire sports ecosystem. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC).
Michael Morris has deep strategy, innovation and technology advisory experience, leveraging his extensive senior executive background in Major League Baseball (MLB) and Legends Hospitality. During his tenure as SVP and CTO at MLB and as CIO of Legends, Morris was instrumental in building and scaling core operating platforms, advancing fan-facing technologies, and launching successful analytics and innovation programs that generated growth and efficiency. Morris will focus on assessing emerging technologies, scaling operations, and translating innovation into long-term enterprise value for SeventySix Capital's advisory clients and portfolio companies.
