How formal property rights shape social and economic networks

Abstract

The authors study a land reform in Benin, aimed at formalising land rights, granting ownership to women traditionally excluded by land ownership, and improving tenure protection.

This is an part of the Structural Transformation and Economic Growth (STEG) programme.
