Welcome to first day of fall semester

WSU President Elizabeth Cantwell shares a message of thanks to faculty and staff across the system as they prepare to guide, support, and educate students during the upcoming semester.

As students across the Washington State University system start filling classrooms system-wide, President Elizabeth Cantwell shared a message of optimism, gratitude, and purpose for the year ahead.

In a welcome video, Cantwell emphasizes the university's role in shaping the next generation of leaders, conducting innovative research, and serving communities throughout Washington: "These students and the communities they come from are counting on us, Washington State University, to lead the way."

And, in an accompanying message to faculty and staff, she invites the WSU community to participate in listening sessions across the system this fall to reflect on where the university is and where it is headed.
