Temporary Shower Access for Impacted Residents
The City of Mountain View has partnered with the YMCA of Silicon Valley to provide temporary shower access at the El Camino YMCA located at 2400 Grant Road for residents affected by the recent water main incident north of Cuesta Park. Impacted residents may begin accessing these showers today, April 30.

Shower Hours for the El Camino YMCA

  • Monday-Friday - 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Saturday - 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

What You Need To Do

  • Bring a valid government-issued photo ID
  • Sign the YMCA's guest waiver form

Important Notes

  • Shower access is available for eligible residents only.
  • Please inform the front desk that you are a resident impacted by the Cuesta Water Main Incident.

Shower Access at City Facilities
The City continues to offer shower access at both the Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center and Eagle Park Pool for residents affected by the recent incident. Visit MountainView.gov/CuestaWaterMain for the current schedule.

Road Work Alert
This evening, April 30, water crews are making modifications to the water pipe on Carla Court. Water will be turned off on Carla Court, and traffic is closed on the street.

In addition, crews are using a specialized truck to conduct high-velocity flushing to achieve more aggressive cleaning of the pipelines in the impacted area. Other temporary street or lane closures may be required to safely perform the work. The City recognizes the disturbance this may cause and asks for patience and understanding as the City works diligently to resolve the issues.
