UAA vs. USAFA public debate, May 4
The Seawolf Debate Program challenges the #1 ranked debate team in the nation - Fallon Eggett and Audrey Neukomm of the U.S. Air Force Academy - to a public debate on the UAA Anchorage campus.
Director of the Seawolf Debate Program, Shawn Briscoe, invites students and employees to this one-night event against his alma mater, where he honed his own skills in academic, competitive debate.
Who will win? Will the homegrown talent representing UAA prevail? Will cadets from one of the premiere institutions of higher learning continue to dominate the competition as they have all year long? There is only one way to find out.
On Monday, May 4 at 7 p.m., the two debate programs will spar over whether the municipality of Anchorage should implement a 3% sales tax. Studemts and employees can join in ARTS 150 on the UAA campus. Tickets are available for purchase online.
