Inseason Action #25–#26 in Ocean Salmon Fisheries, North of Cape Falcon (Recreational & Commercial)

NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the recreational and commercial salmon fisheries north of Cape Falcon.

Inseason Action #25

• Effective 12:01 a.m., Wednesday August 26, 2026, for the recreational fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and Cape Alava (Neah Bay subarea), it is unlawful to fish for, possess or land salmon in the subarea, except fish that were lawfully retained in Canadian waters or in Washington waters east of the Sekiu River may be transported through the subarea to be landed in a port in the Neah Bay subarea.

Inseason Action #26

• Effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday August 27, 2026, the landing and possession limit for the commercial ocean salmon troll fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and Cape Falcon is 5 Chinook salmon and 50 marked coho salmon per vessel per landing week (Thursday-Wednesday).
