Telegraph Media Group Acquired by Axel Springer

Fried Frank advised Telegraph Media Group, including its independent directors, holding companies and operating companies, on its agreement to be acquired by Axel Springer, a transatlantic family-owned media company. The completion of this transaction follows receipt of all required regulatory approvals in the UK, Ireland, and Austria. As part of the transaction, Axel Springer will further strengthen Telegraph Media Group's commercial and subscription businesses and expand its events and premium offerings, while preserving the editorial independence and integrity that have defined the publication for 170 years.
