My husband, Whit, and I are so happy that we were able to watch some amazing events during our time here.

The Arctic Winter Games have filled Whitehorse with excitement and pride.

As an Inuk raised in Canada's Arctic, it means so much to me to see participants from across the circumpolar world come together and show what we can achieve.

To every participant-congratulations!

You've shown incredible strength, skill and determination.

You've shown the true spirit of sport and community.

With the world watching the Arctic more closely than ever, you've sent a powerful message about who we are:

Strong, diverse, vibrant cultures-united through sport and through every challenge we face.

To the coaches-thank you for your guidance and inspiration.

To the families-thank you for your love and encouragement.

And to the volunteers and organizers-these Games shine because of you.
