BOZEMAN - Montana middle school educators are invited to apply for QuantumClub, an education and outreach project developed by Montana State University's QCORE and the Science Math Resource Center in partnership with the National Girls Collaborative Project.
Through QuantumClub, educators from five Montana organizations will receive free virtual training on an engaging science, technology, engineering and mathematics - or STEM - curriculum that aims to introduce quantum science and technology concepts and careers in an accessible way. The program features collaborative learning, discussions, and hands-on art and science projects.
Sites selected to run the program will receive the QuantumClub curriculum, ongoing virtual support and all required supplies. Sites will be expected to implement at least 10 hours of the curriculum between November 2026 and May 2027. Those that wish to apply are encouraged to adapt the curriculum to their existing programming models. No prior quantum science knowledge, special technology or experience is necessary to lead this program.
Quantum is an emerging field in which scientists and engineers learn about and maximize the properties of extremely small particles, which has the potential to support everything from agriculture and healthcare to transportation and national security. MSU's Quantum Collaborative Research and Education facility dedicated to the study of quantum computing, or QCORE, is rapidly emerging as a global knowledge center for research and innovation in quantum systems integration, quantum networking and quantum sensing.
