Proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment RE: 2100 MacKay Highway PID 0048046

Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider an amendment to the Zoning By-Law at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chambers on Monday, August 17, 2026, commencing at 6:00 p.m.:

To rezone a parcel of land having an area of approximately 32.19 hectares, located at 2100 MacKay Highway, also identified as PID 00418046, from Rural (RU) to Utility Service (US) as illustrated below.

REASON FOR CHANGE:

To bring the existing Government Works Depot into compliance with the Zoning By-Law and to allow the development of a two-storey office building to support the operations of the Highway Division.
