Lt. Gov. Austin Davis will join state and local leaders to highlight $70 million in state tax credits approved through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) at a news conference Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at Resurrected Life Community Church, 620 Hamilton St., Allentown.
The program, which provides tax credits to businesses that contribute to nonprofit organizations' efforts to revitalize communities, will support 405 projects across the state. There are 37 approved projects in the Lehigh Valley (totaling more than $5.5 million in tax credits for projects in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Schuylkill counties) - including a project by Community Action Lehigh Valley to help Center City youth in Allentown.
