Lainey Wilson features her husband, Devlin "Duck" Hodges, in her new music video for "Kinda Love It."
Wilson teamed up with John Mayer, Kid Harpoon and Jon Decious to write "Kinda Love It." The single is an "infectious, upbeat" anthem that "explores new sonic territory for Wilson and captures the thrill of being swept up in an exciting, yet unpredictable romance," according to a press release issued on Friday morning (October 9). This marks Wilson's latest single since "Phone, Keys, Wallet," which features Mayer on guitar. She also delivered "Can't Sit Still" earlier this year, and joined Miley Cyrus on a duet version of the pop megastar's emotional ballad, "Younger You" (it was a full circle moment for Wilson, who worked as a Hannah Montana impersonator as a teen).
The reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year - who will host the show for her third consecutive year next month - said "I do" to Hodges, a former NFL star, on May 10. They got married at the Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, outside of Nashville. The couple met on a blind date in 2021, and Hodges proposed after four years of dating at late legend George Jones ' estate. Wilson said hat moment "could not have been more perfect."
