LANSING, Mich. The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) is hosting the Veterans Day Recognition Ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 10-11 a.m., at Heritage Hall in downtown Lansing.
Now in it's sixth year, the ceremony will celebrate Michigan's more than 486,000 veterans and include the presentation of colors by the Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion and a pinning of Vietnam War-era veterans to officially honor them for their service to our country. Speakers include Gen. Paul D. Rogers and MVAA Director Brian L. Love followed by a reception with light refreshments.
"More than 486,000 veterans have made the Great Lakes State home, ranking Michigan twelfth in the nation in veteran population," says MVAA Director Brian L. Love. "Every veterans service journey is unique and MVAA is dedicated to honor their service and connect them to the benefits they earned."
