With this release, users can now create and customize pre-production QC checks, bulk export search term reports, and more - read on for more information about the features coming out this month! If you would like to learn more about the features in this release, join us for a live training session.
User-facing features in this release:
Users can now define and apply custom quality checks when running pre-production quality control (QC). This allows them to template, incorporate, and re-use checks that are unique to their project's needs, going beyond Everlaw's default list. These custom checks can also be carried over to new projects via project templating.
With this change, users can also switch off individual default Everlaw checks on any protocol.
These updates help ensure every production consistently meets your organization's standards, while allowing your production team to operate directly within the Everlaw production protocol interface, saving time and helping to maintain the integrity of your produced documents.
To get started, visit Pre-Production QC Checks.
Along with this new feature, we have renamed Production QA to Production QC.
Users can now export CSVs of all search term reports (STRs) at once from a given project. Previously, STRs had to be exported one-by-one.
Exporting all STRs in a single action, instead of individually, saves time, reduces manual effort and reduces risk of incomplete exports as a result of human error. All the exported STRs are organized in one folder named after the project.

Everlaw GovCloud now supports batch translation and translation storage for non-English language text for organizations that have purchased Everlaw AI credits. This feature allows you to:

This feature does not replace the existing option to translate non-English language text ad hoc. The existing translation tools for single documents are still available at no additional cost. To compare your translation options, visit Non-English Language Translation: An Overview.
Note
Everlaw Translation was released to all commercial cloud clients in February 2025.
With this release, users can now select the and nothing else option when their search includes a combination of email domains and email addresses. The and nothing else option is useful when you want to limit your search to a subset of email values for that field, with no other values included in the search hits.
This newly enabled option applies to searches using the Parties, Recipients, To, CC, and Bcc terms. Previously, this option wasn't available when the selected values included both email domains and email addresses.

Organizations using Everlaw's Search API can now optionally request document text for the results of a search via the GetProjectDocument and GetProjectSearchResult endpoints. When document text is requested (via the `includeText` query parameter) Everlaw includes a temporary download link to the text of each document.
For instructions on how to use any external Everlaw API, please refer to the API documentation for your region. For more information, visit Organization Admin: Everlaw API.
There are several improvements to the document types that Everlaw automatically OCRs. These improvements are especially useful for capturing all the text in documents that contain inline images (such as screenshots) with text. With these improvements, the text from those inline images is automatically identified and captured via OCR for inclusion in the email's text file.

Users can now assign Other Bates valuesto documents uploaded as processed data and to documents produced on Everlaw. Previously, the Other Bates functionality was limited to natively uploaded documents. Applying Other Bates to documents uploaded as processed data is especially helpful if you are re-opening a project by importing the documents and want to assign documents the same Other Bates values they had in the original project.
