The City of Cathedral City was delighted to attend and participate in the 14th Annual Sammy's International Meatball Festival on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
This year's event continued the beloved tradition with music, food, wine, beer, raffle prizes, games, and a Kids Zone. Cathedral City Police Department, Fire Department, City Manager Andy Firestine, Code Compliance Division, and Economic Development joined in the festivities, contributing to the community spirit of the day. Mayor Raymond Gregory and Councilmember Christina Gordon also participated as judges in the meatball competition. All proceeds benefited the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City's mission: To inspire and enable all young people, especially from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
The Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City is one of three Boys & Girls Club organizations in the Coachella Valley, all under the umbrella of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Each organization is responsible for its own fundraising and does not receive funding from any other clubs.
