Breakthroughs like wearable artificial intelligence (AI) represent the kinds of tools that the Emerging Technology Alliance (ETA) champions as part of its core mission to drive innovation across every sector of the economy. These advances are reshaping how people learn, work, and create, opening new markets and pathways for growth across industries. Recent research suggests generative AI, for example, could add trillionsannually to the global economy over the next several years.
Meta's recently announced AI Glasses Impact Grants offer an opportunity for startups, members of the creator economy, and non-profit organizations to accelerate real-world uses of wearable AI. With applications for the grants now open, the initiative aligns with ETA's goal to educate innovators and policymakers about the transformative potential of next-generation tools that drive economic and societal progress.
The Meta grant program provides support along two paths:
● Accelerator Grants are intended for teams already demonstrating measurable impact through wearable AI solutions.
● Catalyst Grants are designed to empower promising concepts that could expand the frontiers of how such technologies are used.
Meta plans to distribute nearly $2 million across more than 30 awards, with individual grants ranging from $25,000 to $200,000 based on project vision and potential impact.
You can find more information and apply for an AI Glass Impact Grant here. Applications close March 9, 2026.
